Post Warranty
Every piece of computer hardware comes with a manufacturer’s warranty that covers defects and failures resulting from the manufacturing process. For mid to high-end IT systems, it’s common to have a maintenance and support contract in place, ensuring prompt assistance in the event of a failure or outage. However, all IT hardware is designed with a limited lifespan in mind. Manufacturers recommend regular upgrade cycles for their products, inviting owners to replace hardware at the end of these cycles. To support this process, older hardware is eventually classified as ‘End of Service Life’ (EoSL), meaning the manufacturer will no longer provide standard support or maintenance.
